I'm Alfredo Da Venezia
My artistic work sits between design and architecture. I draw on the paradigms of modernity in both disciplines, using their methodologies and lines of thought as artistic operations.
Since 2016 I have worked in digital modelling and 3D printing. From there I have developed art pieces ranging from the printed model in plastic, to its digital photographic reproduction, to inflatable models at 1:1 scale, presented in various exhibitions and curatorial projects in Chile, Spain and Italy.
I currently live in Lyon and collaborate with Progetto Empegno in Italy, which has led me to develop a formal language —inflatable, foldable, assemblable— designed to transport the work at low cost between countries. This way of working turns every exhibition into an exercise in translation: between the digital file, the physical object, and the place where it is finally unfolded.
In Chile I am represented by Galería Espacio O.
